What is Uttar~Answer?
Outstanding Performance – received standing ovation!
Uttar ~ Answer is an Indian classical dance ballet performed by Ottawa-based Bharatanatyam artists. The theme is based on the Bhagavad Gita, the ancient Hindu literature, describing a dialogue on the onset of a deadly battle to follow. In the battleground, the two protagonists’ discourse on the nature of truth, action, detachment, reconciliation and a battery of philosophical understanding to life.
The choreography segmentally draws upon these philosophies in movements and expression, set to the verses from the Bhagavad Gita. The music is based on special compositions rendered by the violin maestro and composer L. Subramaniam and vocalist Sudha Raghuraman from India. uttar ~ answer will provide answers to difficult questions humanity is faced at this juncture of time through a translatable and captivating dance which will be portrayed in Bharatanatyam, also a very integrally diverse art thriving in Canada.

Live music and narration
Music is composed by Sudha Raghuraman (an ICCR artist from India residing in Delhi) and will be arriving here in Ottawa on September 4th for the September 8th show.
Sudhaji will be accompanied by her husband Raghu ji who is part of her music group and an excellent Flutist.
Our Mridangam artist Mahesh Krishnamurthy will be arriving from the United States for this very special show.
Thematic Production also includes music composition from none other than violin maestro and composer L. Subramaniam.
Dance production will be with Live Music!
