uttar ~ answer is an Indian classical dance ballet performed by Ottawa-based Bharatanatyam artists. The theme is based on the Bhagavad Gita, the ancient Hindu literature, describing a dialogue on the onset of a deadly battle to follow. In the battle ground, the two protagonists’ discourse on the nature of truth, action, detachment, reconciliation and a battery of philosophical understanding to life in general. The choreography segmentally draws upon these philosophies in movements and expression, set to the verses from the Bhagavad Gita. The music is based on special compositions rendered by the violin maestro and composer L. Subramaniam and vocalist Sudha Raghuraman from India. uttar ~ answer will provide answers to difficult questions humanity is faced at this juncture of time through a translatable and captivating dance.

uttar~answer was premiered in Ottawa. The artistic production was very well received.

JJPA would like to present this beautiful thematic production around Canada in Cities, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary in the 2023 in the Month of May 2023 and /or August 2023.
